Acquia provides value-added products and services for the open source Drupal social publishing system. Diverse organizations use Drupal as their core social publishing system, including SonyBMG, Warner Brothers Records, New York Observer, Forbes, The Onion, and Amnesty International. A huge community has grown up around Drupal, with thousands of active committers contributing to the project. Acquia plans to accelerate and deepen Drupal adoption by advancing the core technology, offering products and network services that dramatically speed deployment and reduce risk.

Offerings

Acquia is a commercial open source company based on the Drupal open source social publishing system. We are building a portfolio of product and service offerings to assist organizations seeking to build websites and applications on the Drupal system. Included in these offerings will be Acquia Drupal distributions configured for social publishing applications, an Acquia Network to deliver a variety of electronically-delivered services for people developing and operating Drupal websites, and a Technical Assistance help desk where Acquia subscribers can obtain human help when they encounter an issue with their Acquia installation.
