Here are my notes from Day 2 of Web 2.0 Expo.

Launch Pad Session

Acquia and Drupal rocked the Launch Pad session. Barry Jaspan gave a concise, high impact demo where he assembled and fine tuned a cycling community site by assembling and configuring modules instead of writing lots of code. Drupal got nice shoutouts from the audience and the VC judges grokked the Acquia business model.

Here's the video. Our section begins at about 4:10. The audio is poor and you can't see our slides/demo, but you'll get the drift. We'll need to record it when we get back to Boston and post a cleaned up version. It's a nice 5 minute summary.

Webware 100 Party

Near the end of the day, Kieran, Barry, Bryan, and I headed over to the corner of the show floor where they were having the Webware 100 awards party. As everyone hopefully knows, Drupal won one of these awards.

We grabbed one of the tables and started handing out Darth Drupal stickers we made up with the cool design by Rain City Studios.

There was a decent amount of traffic by our table and we had some good discussions. I met a gentleman from a Japanese company who has completed three intranet projects for his company with Drupal.
