<itunes:summary>In this podcast, you'll learn about new Drupal modules that enable you to automatically metatag content for a Drupal site.

We talk to Tom Tague from Thomson Reuters along with Frank Febbraro and Tiffany Shackelford from Phase2 Technology about Open Calais.

Calais is Thomson Reuters’ Semantic Web service that enables publishers to automatically metatag the people, places, facts and events in their content to increase its search accessibility on the Web. It is a rapidly growing toolkit of capabilities that allow web site and application owners to readily incorporate state-of-the-art semantic functionality within a blog, content management system, web site or application.

Phase2 Technology has released Calais modules for integration with Drupal. The Calais modules for Drupal are designed to make it easy for Drupal users to automatically generate metadata for their content, generating rich Semantic metadata that can be shared via a simple key and integrated into the larger content universe. </itunes:summary>
