You know — engineers, programmers, developers; people who live and love actually building stuff for people to use - not just talking about it. People who are “only” thinkers, architects, or who want others to write code need not apply. (Just as with any open source project, respect and authority comes by doing and earning it - not claiming it.)

We’re looking for people who have a LAMP in their head, who have Java in their gut, CSS/HTML/PHP/Javascript in their heart, and who are Agile enough to live in Scrums all the time. People for whom their CS degree was merely table stakes, who believe developers should write tests, and whose code stands the test of time and peer-review.

We strongly prefer developers who have been at a venture-backed startup before (and thrived on it). And though we’ll look at resumes from people of all experience levels, we’ll lean more towards people for whom Acquia will not be their first professional software job.

And we need both server-side people (building faceless software) as well as people who develop stuff customers / users interact with. Drupal experience is preferred, but if you’re truly smart and earn your way in without Drupal experience, we’ll give you the space to you learn Drupal here on our nickel.
