Engineering and Design

You know — engineers, programmers, developers; people who live and love actually building stuff for people to use - not just talking about it. People who are “only” thinkers, architects, or who want others to write code need not apply. (Just as with any open source project, respect and authority comes by doing and earning it - not claiming it.)

We’re looking for people who have a LAMP in their head, who have Java in their gut, CSS/HTML/PHP/Javascript in their heart, and who are Agile enough to live in Scrums all the time. People for whom their CS degree was merely table stakes, who believe developers should write tests, and whose code stands the test of time and peer-review.

We are interested in people who have a high degree of passion, integrity, and intelligence. We'll look at resumes from people of all experience levels.

And we need both server-side people (building faceless software) as well as people who develop stuff customers / users interact with. Drupal experience is preferred, but if you’re truly smart and earn your way in without Drupal experience, we’ll give you the space to you learn Drupal here on our nickel.

Visual Designer

Acquia is changing the face of social site building and transforming the way sites are themed. We're looking for an exceptional visual designer to work on a contract to perm basis. You know who you are. You're passionate about great design. You may not have a ton of experience behind your belt, but you can deliver multiple unique draft designs that meet business goals within a couple of days. You know the difference between experience and usability. You know how to take direction, but challenge ideas that are going in the wrong direction. You're comfortable collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to make sure your ideas meet business goals and can be built. If this is you, then we invite you to join us in helping to design solutions that help the rest of the world understand what we do, and why they need to give us a try.

Front-end UI Developer

This is a CSS front-end fanatic who can build cross platform/browser awesomeness! We need you to apply your skills and manipulate CSS in ways that have never been done before! Up to the challenge?

A rock-star systems engineer to build best-in-class hosting services using the latest cloud technologies.

QA Engineer Intern

Do you approach a project thinking how can I make this better? What can I do to expose defects? How can I do this in the minimal number of steps and still be effective? Can you discuss what makes QA different in the agile world? Have you written test cases that do not require refactoring every release? Can you set up a LAMP stack to serve multiple different website?

Operations Intern

Do you have a passion for administering servers? Configuring monitoring tools to ensure that the network, servers and applications are optimally performing now and in the future? Does writing scripts to automate time-consuming and error-prone tasks leave you feeling satisfied? Then you want to be a Acquia Systems Administrator intern, and better yet we want you to be one!
