- MySQL 5.1 is now installed instead of MySQL 5.0 (AN-6968)
- Fixed an issue where during installation, an error message was displayed such as "child process exited abnormally" or "com.acquia.drupal.apache0: Already loaded" (AN-7517)
- Enabled Zlib PHP extension to provide compression for phpMyAdmin under Mac. Also changed upload_max_filesize to 256MB. (AN-7510)

- phpMyAdmin is no longer locked down with a reduced set of permissions. For example you can now create users and set privileges. (AN-6446)
- The MySQL console client is now included. This was required to use the popular drush command line shell and Unix scripting interface for Drupal. (AN-6224)
- You can now view all of the details of the installer's PHP configuration by clicking the "phpinfo" link in the config tab of the control panel's settings dialog (AN-5610)
- Apache installed by the stack installer now runs as user ad_apache instead of root. (AN-4484)
Notes:
- Acquia Drupal may include released, beta, alpha, or patched modules depending on which version is determined to be the most current, stable, secure and appropriate version for general use.
- Customers updating a production site should always perform a backup first, and, if possible, perform a trial update in a test environment before updating their production site.
- For some of the modules being upgraded, it is important to make sure that the new version of the module completely replaces the old one (i.e., that the entire module's directory is replaced and that there are no files from the old version left behind). Please follow the recommended upgrade procedures found in the Getting Started Guide.
- If you experience problems during the upgrade, clearing Drupal's caches may be necessary. You can do this by visiting Administer > Site configuration > Performance (?q=admin/settings/performance) and clicking the "Clear cached data" button at the bottom of the page. Also note that you may be prompted to run your site's database updates more than once, and if you see error messages during the upgrade they do not necessarily indicate a problem.
- Known Issue: You must enter at least 1 character for a password when installing using the Mac or Windows Acquia Drupal Stack installers.
