Eric Thiel

Eric “ET” Thiel leads Acquia’s Solution Engineering team across the Americas, EMEA, and APJ. ET brings 25 years of SaaS and PaaS experience, leading SE teams from major technology organizations, while developing presales teams for hyper-growth emerging technology companies.

Before joining Acquia, ET was Vice President at WP Engine, where he led global SE teams across enterprise, agency, and SMB segments. Prior to WP Engine, he was instrumental in building a number of successful emerging technology organizations, including Datapipe (acquired by Rackspace), IBM, VMware, and Rackspace. 

ET consistently demonstrates the vision and creativity required to develop engaged presales teams for technology organizations, and his passion and drive set the tone for his organizations’ culture and DNA.
