Acquia Recognized as a Leader in the 2022 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs)
“The digital experience platform market reflects the demand for platforms to manage digital experiences of customers, partners and employees. Use this Magic Quadrant to identify vendors that meet your needs across web, portal, mobile and other digital channels.”
The acknowledgement of Acquia as a Leader in the 2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant™ for Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs) report is one we’re proud to have for three years running. By continuing to build upon Acquia Open DXP, we moved ever closer to making the composable enterprise a reality in the last year. We believe Gartner analysts recognized our sustained ability to satisfy customer needs, not just today but into the future.
To better understand Gartner assessment, let’s review what its evaluators identified as our positive traits.
The Drupal open source community: Without you, there’s no us
Co-founded by Dries Buytaert, creator of the open source content management system (CMS) Drupal, Acquia is a natural supporter of the vast and engaged Drupal community. From providing certifications to co-sponsoring the annual DrupalCon events and highlighting standout developers, we’re invested in nurturing and growing this community. In turn, developers regularly contribute code and bug fixes. As a result, there’s ongoing growth in the already strong 46,000 Drupal modules that can be assembled to power digital experiences.
Modular solution architecture sits at the right side of the divide
The market continues to see a big divide between all-in suites versus DXPs that allow a modular approach. At Acquia, we see many organizations that are reluctant to purchase a monolithic DXP.
Their outlook and preferences corroborate our unwavering belief in the composable architecture approach to delivering seamless digital experiences.
Laser-focused on composability, Acquia proves especially useful to enterprises seeking to rebuild their digital foundation with modular solution architectures. (Again, our relationship with the Drupal community is a boon here.)
Something for everyone: Empowering all teams
Today, organizations must be able to create, iterate, and launch content and products faster than their competitors and at greater frequency.
Marketing teams’ dependence on IT and data science colleagues can throw a wrench in that process. We understand and offer multiple solutions. Through capabilities such as data science and citizen development via Site Studio, our low-code/no-code experience builder, we empower digital marketers to produce, edit, and launch their own content and sites. In addition, our acquisition of Widen, a recognized leader in digital asset management (DAM), helped enhance the workflow and asset management capabilities of Acquia Open DXP. By building up marketers’ capabilities, we remove requests from their IT teammates’ queue, giving developers and engineers more time to focus on product and business innovations.
But it isn’t just marketing teams we’ve prioritized. Our employee experience (EX) platform also allows HR, recruiting, and dev teams to work together more effectively to create an employee experience that can transform the Great Resignation into the Great Retention. Together, CHROs and CIOs can collaborate to ensure a consistent brand experience, aligning an organization’s external and internal brand.
In short, we believe we were recognized as a Leader by sharpening our commitment to both customer and employee experiences — CX and EX — as well as by expanding the Acquia DX Alliance, our technology partner ecosystem. We believe Acquia Open DXP successfully supports a wide range of use cases for the full lifecycle of digital experiences.
