Join Acquia at DrupalCon Amsterdam 2019
Open source is founded on the belief that when people work together to solve problems and create new experiences, they can accomplish so much more than what any one person could do alone. Drupal thrives on a global community who are eager to listen and learn from each other, so they can do amazing things with technology. As our community grows, DrupalCon events are great opportunities for today’s brightest digital minds to meet and form lifelong connections.
With DrupalCon Amsterdam less than a month away, Acquia is excited to announce that we’ll be sponsoring the event and swapping ideas in the exhibit hall. Acquia is hosting 10 speaking sessions at our stand at DrupalCon, as well as one main session on the Diamond Stage: "Creating a Healthy Technology Ecosystem." Each of these presentations showcases innovation throughout different points of the digital ecosystem from site design to marketing automation to personalisation techniques. By attending our sessions you’ll also get an exclusive look at two of Acquia’s recently acquired products: Cohesion and Mautic. Here's a look at our main sponsored session and a few of the other topics Acquia will be covering.
Every DrupalCon offers opportunities to learn new digital skills and connect with the people who are shaping the future of technology. That goal starts with making sure everyone has access to education. Learn how you can make an impact and see a preview of what we’ll be up to at DrupalCon Amsterdam. We can’t wait to see you in person!
Creating a Healthy Technology Ecosystem For Drupal
What are the key parts of maintaining a healthy technology ecosystem?
Join Craig Hanna for an expert look at how Acquia Cohesion makes it possible for Drupal to compete with proprietary platforms like Adobe and Sitecore and stay ahead of important trends in the marketplace. As the world’s first enterprise-grade, low-code website builder, Cohesion empowers everyone in your organization (not just developers) to build beautiful experiences with Drupal.
We’ll show why Cohesion makes it easier than ever for organisations to build and launch memorable digital experiences. In today’s modern age, speed and flexibility matter more than ever and Drupal needs to be able to innovate quickly and offer site builders greater choice in order to keep users on the platform longterm. Join us at our main stage session and see how Acquia Cohesion creates a virtuous circle that benefits the whole Drupal community through open feedback and learning.

Personalisation: Let's Nail it Together
It's all about delivering personalised experiences, right? But why is it so often an afterthought of your website projects? Only addressing personalisation in the final stage of your digital projects results in nothing but frustration, unreasonable marketer demands and last-minute code updates.
For a proactive approach to better personalisation, come hear insights from Acquia Lift expert, Dani Woolley. You’ll find out how you can plan properly for website personalisation and why having every party in your organisation involved in personalisation from day one is a recipe for success.
Speaker: Dani Woolley, Digital Experience Consultant, Acquia
When: Wednesday, 30 October, 9:50 - 10:05 on the Acquia stand.
Women on Top: How to Get (and Keep) Women in your Leadership Roles
The Drupal community welcomes all perspectives and embraces people from a variety of different backgrounds and life experiences. Yet, there’s still lots of progress to make in terms of gender representation. Drupal founder and Acquia CTO Dries Buytaert recently released his annual report “Who sponsors Drupal development?” The data showed that only 8% of the recorded contributions from 2018-2019 were made by contributors who do not identify as male. This is a 1% increase from the year prior, showing that while progress is being made, we still have a long way to go to close the gender gap. Attend this session for a deeper dive into improving female representation in the tech space.
Speakers: Lindsey Catlett, Drupal Architect, Newell Brands, Jenn Sramek, Director of Learning Services, Acquia, Ruth Cheesley, Mautic Community Manager
When: Wednesday, 30 October, 9:00 - 9:40 at G109.
Give Back by Supporting Girls Who Code
Acquia is once again honoured to support diversity and inclusion in the workforce by partnering with Girls Who Code at DrupalCon. Girls Who Code offers resources, training and mentorship for girls who are making an impact on their communities and the world. We teamed up with Girls Who Code during DrupalCon Seattle in April and had nearly 450 people participate, raising a total of $2,240! This time we’re hoping to beat that record and continue to drive this essential effort for gender equality. For everyone who stops by Acquia’s section at Booth #1 and scans their badge, £5 will be donated to Girls Who Code.
Long-term change is only possible when we all work together to prop up diverse voices and create the pathways for success. We can all do our part to make a difference and shape the future we want to see.
