The Client
The Carlyle Group is an American multinational private equity, alternative asset management, and financial services corporation. It specializes in corporate private equity, real assets and private credit.
The Situation
The Carlyle.com website was overdue for a visual and functional refresh; the new site needed to reflect the business’s position as a leader in the investment space and showcase its new, forward-thinking digital brand positioning. On the back end, the new website would need to allow Carlyle to be in control of its own content, expanding its new content strategy to show current and potential investors what makes Carlyle unique.
The Challenge
The Carlyle Group faced two significant challenges: an extremely tight timeline and a high bar. As one of the world’s top-five private equity firms, there was no margin for error — no pixels could be misplaced. Perfection, quickly, was key.
The Solution
Working closely with the Carlyle team and Sub Rosa, the creative agency behind the design, the Third and Grove project team led an aggressive schedule, keeping all three teams closely aligned throughout ideation, implementation, testing, refinement and a seamless launch. The Acquia Cloud Platform empowered developers with the tools they needed to build the site experience quickly and the open nature of the Acquia DXP allowed TAG to build a really unique UX into the homepage that would have been trickier on less open digital experience platforms.
